Rhonda Merwin, Ph.D.
Dr. Merwin completed her Ph.D. at the University of Mississippi under the mentorship of Dr. Kelly Wilson. She completed her predoctoral internship in the Duke Cognitive-Behavioral Research and Treatment Program and a 2-year NIH-sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowship with Dr. Nancy Zucker before joining the faculty in July 2008. Dr. Merwin has an active research program in the areas of acceptance-based treatments for eating disorders and eating disorders in the context of type 1 diabetes funded by the National Institute for Diabetes, and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Merwin sees adolescent and adult patients within the DCED and supervises graduate students and residents in evidenced-based treatment.
